Tencent said its agent workbench is deployed across Leapmotor's software teams

Tencent announced a partnership with Leapmotor on September 23 under which its WorkBuddy agent desktop has been adopted by the carmaker. The account below comes from an item carried by the trade outlet Gasgoo and labelled on its own page as a corporate contribution, for whose content the contributing company is responsible. Other Chinese outlets carried the same text, some crediting the technology publication 36Kr. No first-party announcement from either company could be located.

As reported, the tool has been deployed across Leapmotor’s vehicle engineering, intelligent driving, connected-car, procurement and supply-chain, and audit functions. The capabilities named are local file handling, running multiple tasks and agents in parallel, and a skills and tool-connection ecosystem.

The figures attributed to Tencent are specific. More than 40 internal systems were said to have been built by the vehicle team, with a conventional build estimate of over 1,700 person-days compressed to 177, which Tencent described as an average efficiency gain of about 90 percent. The individual systems cited include a software quality management platform at 90 person-days reduced to eight, an intelligent cockpit evaluation system at 70 reduced to seven, an engineering digitalization platform at 180 reduced to 18, a laboratory information management system at 150 reduced to 15, and a stamping-die management system covering 12 modules at 100 reduced to 10.

None of it is independently verifiable at present. Leapmotor’s own newsroom carried nothing about the partnership, Tencent’s corporate media page did not publish it, and Leapmotor made no exchange filing covering it. The numbers are a vendor’s account of a customer’s engineering productivity, reaching the trade press as copy supplied rather than as reporting.
